Brunch @ The Conrad

Friday 14th November 2014

Christmas in Dubai means only one thing (and its definitely not attending church); its joining work colleagues and friends for one of those legendary events only expats know how to do in style: BRUNCH.

This one is called ‘Ballarò Brunch’ and is held at the Conrad Hotel, along Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai. Its sunshine, warm weather and cool breeze, dining al fresco and lots of seafood. But the hook ain’t the endless, all-you-can-eat buffet, nor the vodka cocktails handed to you as you walk in. Its the free-flowing Verve Clicquot. We began proceedings at noon and got gently ushered out at 5:30PM, very much stuffed from good food and jolly from even better champagne…

About Alice

I run, I jump, I sing, I dance. Whether climbing trees, walls or stairs I do it at a clip. When out, my date is always Trusty Nikon (who never lets me down in the attire stakes; so smart in his black, with a pop of red!). Where does it lead, this love affair of mine? Well, its lead me to Dubai, via the matrimonial aisle, thanks to a gorgeous husband who whisked me from Coogee beach, Sydney into the Arabian Peninsula - to my new home, Dubai. I am a freelance writer and photographer and my wish is to snap away, to scribe and to share it all with you. Enjoy.
