Kiddo has been diagnosed finally: its not a cold nor the flu, ain’t hayfever or Covid-19. Its a nasty bout of tonsillitis which as of 11am is being treated by antibiotics. Twice a day the antibiotics will kill group A Streptococcus pyogenes. His excruciating sore throat made him cry afew times today so off the boys go Difflam spray. Linus couldn’t even eat dinner even though he was hungry. So I made him softly scrambled eggs.
But before that we’ve got guests: Pat Yvonne Jake and Liam come round with flowers for mum. The boys play with cars and swap Coles Little Tree house Books. Kingsley wants an icecream but during the consultation Dr Adams forbade anything cold so the boys get the icecreams while Kingsley whines. A game of Jenga is the great leveller and all three lads build structures which Kingsley smashes to which Jake quite seriously asks ‘why did you just do that, Kingsley?!’
