Its the last day of the working week today! Anticipating a great weekend and all I have to do is get through the next five hours of work, my eye on the prize…my family!
But before being reunited with Erroll and Kingsley in the afternoon, I transform into a machine: you know the drill – head down, bum up; power through the day’s tasks behind my desk, issue out reviewed contracts ready for execution to the various commercial teams at my company, continue to coach and train new recruit Quincy, share much needed banter and laughs with my legal team, sneak in an apple, pear and banana while the good Muslims fast this fifth day of Ramadan, sing happy birthday to the boss, and rush to get out on time in order to make Kingsley’s pediatrician appointment. Phew.
These two gents, below, were waiting for me at the clinic. At 3:30PM Dr. Ali declared Kingsley a healthy, thriving infant and ordered us to go home safe in that knowledge. Ramadan Kareem!
