Kingsley: Adjustments

3rd June 2014 @ 5:30PM

Two full days at nursery have come and gone without any drama (other than the usual me attempting to get out of the house, dressed, on time): no crying or tantrums; no separation anxiety every mother is warned to look out for; no going off his food or clinging on to us when we bid him farewell of a morning. Quite the contrary, for our baby boy seems intoxicated by the organized chaos at Hummingbird.

The babies, the infants and toddlers are adorable; the nurses and carers are attentive and loving. The atmosphere is one of stimulating education of the mind, the senses and the physical self. It is SO COLOURFUL IN THERE!!

Kingsley is animated, upbeat and always smiling whenever either Erroll or I (or both) go in to collect him. We watch him play either by himself or with his nurse, Rona, just to gauge his mood and his level of adjustment to this big change. Then we check in with each other and have, to date, come to a consensus: our infant has more than adjusted to nursery; he is thriving!

Can easily watch Kingsley play day and night. Here at Hummingbird Nursery, DIFC Dubai.
