Kiddies lose the plot from eating a Cornetto each, Elektra delirious from intense playing at Dickson Park with Kingsley’s friends Lawrence, Antony and Mikayla, then dehydration then no decent food in her then us adults forgetting she needs her nap. Hence her melt down in the heat of the day. Easy solution – plonk in car, air con on, cold bottle of milk in mouth, soothing music playing…and let the magic take hold! Sleep. Our girl finally sleeps at 1pm.
Keanu is more resilient when it comes to coping without a nap. All day he rides his trike (we bring two because twins argue over everything) and only passes out when we leave the park. He’s hungry, messy, tired, delirious, thirsty and about to fall asleep in the car on our way home from the park. Bingo: sleep overcomes him!
