Kingsley is a man with his own doctor, one whom both Erroll and I took to instantly. Dr Kethar, operating from the City Hospital in Dubai, is a fellow with a happy disposition, and warm bedside manner and one whose gentle handling of our newborn caused only sweet gurgling and cooing throughout an hour’s examination. Unheard of!!
Someone who can invoke calmness in our usually fussy bebe had us sold immediately. There! We have found our pediatrician.
Great news to report: our King is thriving on the milk I am producing and he is suckling. In fact, our boy has grown in the three weeks since he was born. Significantly, his head circumference has increased from 35cm to 37cm; and his length today measures 57.5cm up from 55cm. The welcome conclusion that Dr Kethar drew is that our boy is on track.
My relief, as a nursing mumma, at such results (and relief that I contribute to King’s growth) is immeasurable. Our boy is a picture of health…
