Kingsley: 8-12-13 Innoculations

What the heck was that??!! OUCH!!!!!!!!!!

Bang in my arm and another in my thigh. YIKES!

Ah, the dreaded inoculation shots; vaccines; needles by any other name. And they all hurt. First one given into my arm by the kindly nurse is to render me immune to a disease my mum thought was eradicated long ago: tuberculosis. Indeed it has been so, in Australia, but not so in Africa and the Middle East, where I was born yesterday. And the second shot delivered into my wee thigh is the HepB shot, providing me with immunization from Hepatitis B. All newborns are administered this before hospital discharge, so I was not going to escape the pain.

See? Here I am sleeping quietly just as a newborn should, then BAM! Nurses and needles. Who can blame me for exercising my lungs? Those shots hurt…
