Kingsley: Fathers Day in the UAE

Sunday 15th June 2014

Even though us Aussies celebrate Fathers Day in September, we cant be ignoring that today is Kingsley’s first Fathers Day (here in the UAE, anyway), the day set aside for society to bestow loving and respect to dads everywhere. That King adores and idolizes Erroll is plain to see. The foundations of their bond have been forged over the past three months especially through daily and constant attachment: the boys walk together, lay for naps and sleep together. Their banter is a unique language, all their own.

When Erroll is not flying, Kingsley is literally glued to his dad…well, at least bucked in and almost sewn on. That red baby carrier has been used daily for over six months, and Erroll wouldn’t have it any other way. A father carrying his son over the first few month of life I am certain has contributed in no small way to the sweet natured, demonstrative and affectionate boy we have right now.

Happy Fathers Day, Erroll. Your work is never done, but what work you have done is remarkable. We love you.
