Back in Dubai: 30 Months Old

1st July 2016

We’ve not been back in Dubai a week but must sea-bathe lest those five weeks we just spent in Greece count for nought. It’s near impossible to go from daily swims in the refreshing Saronic Gulf waters of the Aegean to desert life in sweltering Arabia without some sort of apoplexy. The solution may be expensive (everything in Dubai is) but well worth it. A day poolside, beachside, under the shade, on a banana chair within the property of the most child friendly and glamorous resort on the Dubai mainland: The Westin Resort Mina Seyahi.

At the age of two-and-a-half Kingsley has traveled extensively – and frequently – to date, yet nothing beats a full day in floaties at a local resort where transportation is a breeze (metrô door to door). From the hours of 11am through to 7pm on this particular Thursday when Ba-Báh was at work, Mumma and child made full use of facilities, kids club, pools, showers, change rooms, grounds, gardens, beach toys, and lobby of The Westin.

Our Greek tan got topped up and we were home just as Kingsley’s dad walked through the front door.
