Kingsley: Afternoons with Friends

May 2018

Friendships come easily to Kingsley as one minded confident and self-assured a 4 year old can get, this chap seeks out others to play with, asks permission to approach and suggests collaboration with other little people. Most often the kiddies agree to play with him. The odd time the child won’t.

He shrugs it off though makes a point to let me know that the child ‘doesn’t want to play, mumma.’ I go on to explain this strange behavior resulting from an unwell or unbalanced mind.

Kingsley seems satisfied with my theory on antisocial behavior in children, goes on to pity them and skips off to find a more balanced little person with whom he can catch sea urchins with or pass a ball.
