Kingsley: See you Jiajia

31st May 2014

Jiajia is off to Greece for the summer!

Getting out of the house on time to ensure we are at the Marhaba Lounge at Dubai’s international airport for mum’s 10AM flight to Athens really needed an extra pair of hands this morning and whose better than those attached to Kingsley’s beloved nurse-Jinky.

Jinky came over at 7:30AM while mum was finishing off in the kitchen, cooking two large pots of meals (one chicken, the other lamb) for baby Kingsley’s first try of solids later this week. I was on the bed expressing milk, miraculously already showered (but still nude) and young master King was softly babbling to himself and in a very good mood caused by a deep sleep unbroken by episodes of wakefulness. Jiajia was packed ready not to be late.

We arrive to the Marhaba Lounge, and of course the baby is hungry immediately. National Geographic is showing elks which reside in an obscure part of Canada being neutered lest their numbers get out of control and I watch the neutering there and then. I would rather watch King feeding any day. Yuck…

Time for farewells however we will see Jiajia Dora again, when she returns to us after her fabulous months swimming in the Aegean. Go and enjoy the good life, mumma! Thank you for coming to stay with us this past month xxx

King in a temper: hungry, fed up and bored. Time for a feed and to bid mum farewell as she boards EK105 bound for Athens.
