Matho and I reunite. Its been at least three weeks since she came over, and we miss each other’s frantic banter and high energy levels so we decide enough’s enough. Its time to meet, and we do so in the early afternoon at a special rendezvous – Tiffany’s in Dubai Mall.
Today marks an entire fortnight not working. It means that I can wake whenever I want (well, when Kingsley manages to rouse me from my laziness), stay in pyjamas for half the day (literally only getting out of them after our noon nap) and the piece de resistance: meeting a girlfriend for lunch. During the working day. With no fear of a boss rousing on me for being away from my desk.
Its with this ease of mind I see my girlfriend Vicki, and we both get lost in the mall, the ex-pat mall rats we have become while living in Dubai.
