Sunday 9th September 2018

Marlen’s (53rd) birthday is today but no luck in hearing her voice; she’s at a wedding. So we eat and head off for new delights.

Here is a letter I wrote on our day…

Tina hi from Sunday in Greece,

Another day another blindingly beautiful part of the Mediterranean we are exoloring. Its Erroll’s 11th day with us -and today we travel to a (secretly) well known beach called Althea where the ones in the know go. The water is crazy azure.

Erroll was so inspired by the natural beauty of this place he swam to a near-by island, got onto dry land, waved to us on the mainland, then swam back!!

Kingsley swam out a few meters to meet him and said ‘take me with you next time, daddy’. They ate a picnic afterwards of sandwiches, apples, bananas, almonds and boiled eggs. As promised to myself, you and Mika, Erroll has been treated like a Greek hero returning from a campaign: he is fed, watered, treated, excursioned and none of the females in our extended females of our extended family let him lift a finger. The husbands hand him beers. He is so chatty and at home I’m so happy to report.

Nature knew what it was doing by sending us home by 3:30, for the clouds meant its thankfully cooler than the 30 degrees of midday. And at any rate we’ve got our Aussie cousins here for the day.

Kingsley remembers both Roula and Peter from past get togethers and their pool parties (plus Eva’s McDonalds birthday bash) giving affection, kisses and chat to them this arvo most readily. But nothing can come close to male bonding.
