Every Thursday the largest and most vibrant grower’s market in the region attracts thousands of Greeks from mainland and islands to the ancient port of Lavrion. It is here mumma Dora, Kingsley and I eat souvlaki for lunch then the last of the season’s yellow grapes for dessert. Lavrion’s marina sparkles; it’s an unseasonably warm and sunny day. We are fortunate indeed to be here…
