What a jam-packed day…even for a non-working woman like I am these days. In fact, I am quite exhausted! I just don’t know how I used to accomplish everything while still working. But I did, and I did it well. And now I will be doing less things, just so much better…starting with being ever more present for Kingsley.
Today marks the end of an era for our boy’s formative years. His formal education began eight months ago when we enrolled our six month old into Hummingbird Nursery, which follows a UK, English speaking Early Foundation Stage curriculum. We were sold not only by the location (DIFC), the warmth and professionalism of the teachers, but also by what Kingsley would be taught there.
Six areas of his learning and development that Miss Charisse, who would become his teacher, focused on were Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Communication, Language and Literacy, Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy, Knowledge and Understanding of the World, Physical Development and Creative Development.
