Sunday morning in Sydney. A bunch of friends making mischief in a coffee shop whiling the time away with magazines and the weekend paper….hang on; this aint no coffee shop. There aint no mocha late-to-go. This is a foursome clinging to each other on a Sunday God-only-knows at what time of day, having not gone home from the night before, and considering it a crazy and fabulous idea to all sit in the boot of my car, and, and… and say cheese!
A typical Sydney morning scene in the only suburb that embraces such calamity: Darlinghurst. Ah Darlo: the spiritual home of Mardi Gras; the rambling cornerstone of Sydney’s gays and lesbians on the loose; residential area by day, party-central by night.
