Felix Da House Cat

Talk about walking tall! Cats are so dexterous; their bodies so maleable and sinewy, each time I learn something new about these magnificent creatures my mouth hangs open from awe. Get a load of this:

  • Unlike our collarbone, which connects the shoulder and breastbone, the cat’s clavicle floats, anchored in place by muscle, which means Kitty can fit through any opening the size of its head.
  • A cat’s nose is as unique as a human’s fingerprint. One and only!
  • On average a cat will sleep 16 hours per day. And of the 8 awake, cats spent 1/3 – that’s about 2.5 hours – cleaning themselves.
  • Each square inch of Kitty hosts 130,000 hairs, compared to 110,000 strands on the entire human head!

Behold Felix da House Cat, so lazy and sleepy, fluffy and clean. One of a kind!

About Alice

I run, I jump, I sing, I dance. Whether climbing trees, walls or stairs I do it at a clip. When out, my date is always Trusty Nikon (who never lets me down in the attire stakes; so smart in his black, with a pop of red!). Where does it lead, this love affair of mine? Well, its lead me to Dubai, via the matrimonial aisle, thanks to a gorgeous husband who whisked me from Coogee beach, Sydney into the Arabian Peninsula - to my new home, Dubai. I am a freelance writer and photographer and my wish is to snap away, to scribe and to share it all with you. Enjoy.
