Arabia

If you come to Dubai, you really must experience Arabia in the desert. And what better way of doing so than through the magnifying glass of luxury resort-living where extraordinary service is met with exquisite Arabic architecture. The looking glass of luxe travel magazines will give you pause to discern best-in-town establishments, and I cannot be stopped in raving about this joint – Bab Al Shams, 45 minutes drive from the heart of Dubai. Just head for the desert.

As for capturing its beauty, it was easy to: wandering about poking my nose in nooks and crannies, discovering views that drew me to snap away. Look what I found at Bab Al Shams!

Framing views is an art made breathtaking when the focus is on the image held within the frame and not the frame itself. Here we see classic Arabic architecture, hanging lighting, soft cushioning and of course the sandstone everywhere, soft to the gaze and cool to the touch. Perfect for those hot desert days.

About Alice

I run, I jump, I sing, I dance. Whether climbing trees, walls or stairs I do it at a clip. When out, my date is always Trusty Nikon (who never lets me down in the attire stakes; so smart in his black, with a pop of red!). Where does it lead, this love affair of mine? Well, its lead me to Dubai, via the matrimonial aisle, thanks to a gorgeous husband who whisked me from Coogee beach, Sydney into the Arabian Peninsula - to my new home, Dubai. I am a freelance writer and photographer and my wish is to snap away, to scribe and to share it all with you. Enjoy.
