Well my own advice I certainly took, and along with it came my senses and a renewed wonder at what nature presents for our viewing pleasure…but hides well enough for us to get to discover. Kind of like a game of hide & seek…
Living in the concrete heart of the financial district of Dubai means a daily ritual of praising modern architecture’s miracle structures and skyscrapers; my surrounds. And I do give thanks for the triumph of engineering excellence which allows me to live in a tower of fifty storeys height.
There are however dedicated oases – quiet, verdant, peaceful places separated from traffic bustle – that blossom in living colour and give breath to the toxicity of citylife. Nature hides them well, and I seek them out…
