I have started to define my life as a mummy in terms of milestones. Every milestone – from when our baby first held up his sweet smelling little head to that unmistakable ‘coo’ is thrilling and most certainly newsworthy. These moments aren’t just exciting and fun; they’re also markers that instill in me confidence in Kingsley’s development.

Eye contact was a cracker of a first milestone: my baby is finally paying attention to me! He sees me and, such joy! follows me with his eyes.
