39 Weeks: Big Bebe

It is official: our unborn child is already near 4 kilograms. That’s 8.4 pounds and with one week to go I dread the thought of how PAINFUL it’ll be passing Seahorse out into this mortal world, God willing, naturally. That’s the aim: to deliver from down there though I of course am at the mercy of Seahorse’s final size and whether my pelvis can manage. Oh dear…

Sheer physical size is one measure of health. Another is heartbeat and blood flow within the umbilical cord and bebe’s brain. And to these Dr. Jozse’s attention is turned. Results? Strong, cracking pace and steady beat when the Doppler was turned up.
