31-10-18 Νονά

Wednesday 31st October 2018

As hard as I try to ignore Kingsley’s pleas to play games on my phone sometimes I give up. He gets my on my nerves; I pass him the phone. Grinning like a Cheshire cat the child plays all sorts of crap that he now knows how to download from the app store.

Other times I successfully persuade him to be creative. This morning was such a time: on the balcony we sat together and he wrote out his name over and over, drawing stick men or scenes from a fairytale (house; chimney; trees; birds etc).

My esteem for the child shot to another level when he drew a pic for his godmother, Νονά Marlen, complete with his protagonists’ red hair!

By the arvo we are trying out our Mountain Buggy given to us by a kindly neighbourhood mum. Kingsley’s in it immediately, plonks himself down and asks for a spin. The spin is around our back yard till daddy comes home…

Daddy, who looks dashing in his new uniform, is but a few days from graduating, and greets us in the yard at 7pm like this…
