I am a woman in the lap of luxury ~ swanning from bath to bed, to divan then window ~ enjoying the remains of our holiday in five star comfort Dutch styles. Our family is staying at The Hilton Schiphol for the final 24 hours of this trip, and I can’t fault the property.
Breakfast is extraordinarily good: healthy, delicious, generous and lengthy. For €10 we three enjoy a la carte, live station cooking as well as a buffet bounty rich in produce Holland is known for: pastries, breads, dairy products, seafood, fruits and of course waffles. Kingsley tucks into pancakes and berries, croissants and muffins. Lets not discuss what Erroll and I devour; suffice to say we begin our frugal eating habits once back in Dubai.
After breakfast we all must rest. On our fluffy bed in The Hilton’s executive floor with the magnificent Schiphol airport in front of us Erroll attempts to pack, but its not happening easily: the Dutch breads and meats have hit our brains. Its nap time…
