Saturday 11th October, Saronida
Kingsley’s first bruise, on his chin, made when attempting to stand on the uneven surface of our shared bed here in Saronida, little legs splayed wide apart, and standing on the tips of his toes, when one leg gives from under him, and he falls, hands slipping on the timber rail, with only his chin to break the fall.
And didn’t the neighbours hear the sirens of his cries. Still, the tears and yelps stopped immediately the instant I put him to the breast.
Here is a selection of images which show our infant on the cusp of walking independently. Boo. Where is my floppy baby gone??
