One month ago Hummingbird Nursery asked all parents to dress their babies in costumes for Halloween. That evening, I mentioned it in passing to Erroll, then forgot all about it until the day before (yesterday) when reading an update email from the nursery manager, Jade, to please bring the kids dressed up.
Off I went to work a little sad that King would probably be the infant attending nursery without a costume, as I hadn’t got him anything (once again evidence of Bad Mother Syndrome). But little did I know that Erroll would go out to buy Kingsley his very first Halloween costume: a garish velour pumpkin! King went to nursery today as a PUMPKIN!!
