Kingsley: Big Day Out

Friday 15th August 2014

Its a Big Day Out for us Hartleys: its the weekend, its sunny out there, and we just have to get out of this apartment. And I am determined to use the buggy to cart this near nine kilogram baby about (goodbye baby carrier and sling). Lets see if the experiment works…

Always at first a little apprehensive in the buggy.

Always at first a little apprehensive in the buggy.

Only recently has Kingsley accepted the buggy as a means of transport. For about a week now, Erroll has used it to take Kingsley to nursery and back. No tears nor tantrums. And I suspect this acceptance has occurred because the infant is getting used to it because all the kiddos at nursery are ‘walked’ by their nurses, in buggies!

I am of course secretly thrilled because it means I no longer need to strap the child onto me to go do my shopping. A twisted spine and broken back is a thing of the past! And look: my sweet, smiling, content and confident baby is a bonus…

Absolute delight in being carted about in his buggy, like a BOSS!
